Today we walked around the colonial district, taking in St George’s cathedral, which is gothic in style but painted pure brilliant white – an odd but beautiful site.
We then went for the obligatory Singapore Sling in the long bar at Raffles Hotel. The hotel itself is huge, and very beautiful – we’ve decided that next time we’re in Singapore we’ll stay there.
The Singapore Sling was nice, but at nearly £15 each, a rip-off - still there are some things in life that you just have to do!
