Today we did a full day snorkeling trip which involved sailing on a long boat to 3 different beaches –Bamboo Island, Monkey Beach and then Maya Bay. Maya Bay is on Ko Phi Phi Ley, where the Leonardo Di Caprio filmed ‘The Beach’.
All three beaches had very clear waters and lots of fish. We even found Nemo!
Unfortunately the coral reefs were pretty much destroyed in the Tsunami, but some bits have started to grow back.
On the way back to Ko Phi Phi Don our boat broke down so we had to be towed back to our beach – luckily only delaying us for a few minutes!
