Last night was New Years Eve so we had dinner in Ton Sai. It’s full moon here and we saw a spectacular moon rise over a hill.
We then headed for the Buddha bar on our beach. It was amazing – loads of people were partying, the music was loud, the fire twirlers were out in force twirling fire batons, jumping through firey hoops and limboing under poles of fire.
There was also a massive firework display and the release of hundreds of lanterns into the sky. There was even a championship between the locals to see who could push the most people into the swimming pool! We had a great time!
