Uyuni to Southern Bolivia: 4th March 10
Today we continued our tour of Southern Bolivia driving from Uyuni heading south toward the Argentine border.
On the way we stopped to see several interesting sights including strange rock formations and different coloured lagoons with flamingos. We also saw the volcano which marks the border with Chile.
For lunch we stopped by a beautiful stream adjacent to snow-capped mountains and grazing llamas – very pretty.
The evening was spent in our hotel, which is literally in the middle of nowhere – surrounded by massive barren hills that look like sand dunes. The hotel is creepy but cool – there are only a couple of other guests so it feels like we’re in an Agatha Christie novel. Bagsy neither Matt or I get bumped off! (sorry Tania!)
