Ugaduga: 27th Aug 09

Mostly travelled this morning, heading South through the Kalahari desert. Arrived at our farm-based camp site at midday and then went shopping in the town in the afternoon. Matt had his hair cut back to grade one so is looking all shiny and new. On the way back to the campsite we stopped at another farm to buy some Kudu meat. Kudus are like large deer – we’d wanted to buy warthog but they didn’t have any in stock. The evening was spent barbequing the steaks and getting merry on wine and vodka. We were joined by the campsite’s owner, a German guy who turned out to be very racist. What a wally – why live in Africa if you don’t like black people!
