Yesterday we took the bus for 8 hours from Banos to Cuenca. The scenery on the way was stunning. Cuenca is Equador’s third biggest city and rivals Quito for colonial charm.
Today is our 15th anniversary and we spent it looking around town and watching the locals. We love the traditional clothes that the ladies wear – very colorful stockings, dresses and aprons, topped off with funky hats - I want one!
We went for a nice meal in the evening to toast our 15 years together, and also spent time thinking of my Grandma, whose internment is happening today in Bolton – she would have been 103 today.
