Rio, Brazil: 3rd April 10

This morning we chilled out around Ipanema, and in the afternoon we walked to the botanical gardens.



The gardens were beautiful, with huge trees, fountains and streams.



We saw some giant lilies, humming birds, orchids, turtles and monkeys!




In the evening we headed into Lapa, an area famous for samba clubs.

We had dinner and sat listening to the music, watching the people pass by – some of whom were quite colourful!
